Not Enough

There’s this quiet but persistent feeling that follows many of us around especially lately. A sense that no matter what we do, how hard we try, or how much we care, it’s still… not enough. Not enough progress. Not enough recognition. Not enough rest. And sometimes, not enough hope.

In a world that constantly demands more more work, more output, more content it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking we’re somehow behind. We want to be kind, conscious consumers. We want to shop better, live better, be better. But with every purchase that turns out to be greenwashed, every news headline about environmental setbacks, or every brand that claims “sustainability” without substance, it feels like our efforts are being swallowed up in a system that doesn't seem to care.

Especially in fashion, where the pressure is loud. You’re expected to look a certain way, dress like you have it all together, and somehow stay ethical while doing it. But sustainable fashion still isn't as accessible as it should be. And when prices are high, information is confusing, and trends move at lightning speed, you’re left feeling like doing the “right” thing is a luxury not everyone can afford.

But here's the truth: You are not the problem.

The system is designed to make you feel like your small changes aren't meaningful. But they are. Every secondhand purchase. Every outfit you rewear with pride. Every decision to pause before buying just to make sure it's intentional that matters. Because choosing mindfulness in a culture of excess is revolutionary.

And it’s also okay to admit when you’re tired. When you’re overwhelmed. When you feel like your best just isn’t enough. Rest doesn’t mean failure. Stepping back doesn’t mean you’ve given up. You are allowed to feel all of it and still believe in the possibility of change.

So if you’ve been feeling like you’re not doing enough, just remember: being aware, being present, and showing up in small, authentic ways already makes you part of the shift. You’re not alone in this. And even if it doesn’t always feel like it what you’re doing is enough.
